Crews privacy policy

Crews ("we", "the app") is a lifting app for small private groups of friends ("crews"). This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account: your email address (used to send you a 6-digit sign-in code), plus the username, display name, avatar color and time zone you choose.
• Workouts: the workouts you log: exercises, sets, weights, reps, times, titles and notes, and any PRs they produce.
• Crews: which crews you belong to, and your reactions ("Respect") and comments on crew workouts.
• Pump pics (optional): one photo per workout if you choose to add it. Photos are private to you by default; they are visible to your crew only if you turn on "Show to my crew" for that photo.
• Notifications: your in-app notifications and notification preferences. When push notifications are available, a device token so we can deliver them.

We do not collect your location, contacts, health-app data, or advertising identifiers, and the app contains no advertising or third-party analytics.

Who can see it

Only you and the members of the crews you belong to can see your workouts, comments and reactions. There is no public feed and no follower system. Strangers cannot see your data. Your email address is not shown to other members.

If you share a card (for example a workout or PR image) from the app, that is your choice and the image goes wherever you send it. Shared cards show your own stats and the crew label, and by default hide other people's names.

Camera and photos

The app asks for camera or photo library access only when you add a pump pic or use one as a share card background. You can decline and still use everything else.

Service providers

We use these providers to run the app. They process data only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase – database, sign-in and photo storage.
• Resend – sending your sign-in code email.
• Expo – delivering push notifications, once enabled.

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time in the app: Me → Delete account. This permanently removes your profile, workouts, photos, comments and reactions. You can also delete individual workouts and photos, or leave a crew, at any time. If you cannot use the app, email us at the address below and we will delete your account for you.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections, and access to your data is restricted by database rules so that members only see their own crews' content. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care to protect it.

Children

Crews is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
